After experiencing firsthand the dangers and harsh conditions of the Alps on one of his own expeditions, Solvay had a tiny cabin built just below the Matterhorn’s peak in 1915, which served as a refuge for any climber who was stuck in bad weather. Made from a soy wax blend and finished with a cotton wick, this candle is a departure from the brand’s usual floral scents, evoking that cozy Alpine cabin with inviting, smoky notes of applewood, amber, citron, clove leaf, canella bark, white birch, oakmoss, sandalwood and cedarwood.
