Made from super-soft silk velvet, Hugo is crafted using traditional ikat techniques — a centuries-old resist-dyeing process that originated in Central Asia. In this method, threads are wrapped around a frame and individually tied off with pigment-resistant palm fibers before dyeing and weaving. With each dye color, fibers are added or removed to create colorful and uniquely intricate motifs. Vibrant Hugo features a bold, abstract pattern in contrasting shades of orange, green, lilac, maroon, cream and a pop of yellow. We’ve finished it with neutral linen backing, a hidden zipper closure and a plush down and feather insert. Perfect as a layer in modern and boho spaces alike, we love Hugo on its own or mixed in with other pillows in a similar palette for an eclectic vibe.
