Embellished Turquoise Jar

Our Embellished Turquoise Jars are handmade by local artisans in the Hebei Province of Northern China. With high shoulders and a small opening, these ceramic jars are crafted in the iconic ginger jar form, popular across ancient China for storing and transporting spices and later in the Western world for a touch of chinoiserie style. They’re finished with a simple embossed floral pattern and a glossy deep turquoise glaze, distressed and left unfinished at the base for a vintage feel. Pretty on their own, we find our Embellished Turquoise Jars especially striking when filled with a few tall stems or sculptural flowering branches.
